6 ingredients. Less than 5 minutes. 1 bowl and a fork. That’s all you need to make this awesome Smashed Pea Toast.

I’ve been making this Pea Toast for a while now and it still blows my mind how something so simple, so quick, can taste so damn good and be nutritious at the same time.

This easy, wholesome and super tasty vegan breakfast is also protein-packed, fiber-packed, oil-free and can be gluten-free. It’s a seriously delicious whole foods plant-based meal you’ll be making on repeat.

Smashed Pea Toast

This easy, wholesome and super tasty vegan breakfast is also protein-packed, fiber-packed, oil-free and can be gluten-free. It’s a seriously delicious whole foods plant-based meal you’ll be making on repeat.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings 2 medium toasts

Ingredients

SMASHED PEAS:

  • 1 Cup frozen peas thawed
  • 1 Tbsp tahini
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • Big pinch garlic powder
  • Big pinch sea salt

TO SERVE:

  • 2 slices of whole-wheat or GF bread

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and mash with a fork until you have a chunky paste.
  • Spread on top of your favorite slice of bread.
