Meet my new obsession. This non-alcoholic Grapefruit Matcha Spritzer (or Grapefruit Matcha Sparkling Iced Tea!? How should I call it?) is SO REFRESHING and delicious!
Are you a matcha lover or a hater? I was a hater, then I discovered I was buying poor-quality matcha. And once I tried a good matcha powder, everything changed! Matcha taste should be mild, balanced, earthy and a bit sweet, it shouldn’t taste strong and unpleasant, like a glass of muddy grass. So before you give up on matcha, try buying a different brand. It might be pricier, but it’s so worth it. Matcha is not only delicious, it has so many health benefits. It’s packed with antioxidants and can help support your metabolism, your heart and your brain. And if you are still not feeling the love, this non-alcoholic spritzer (or mocktail) might change your mind. It’s BUBBLY, CITRUSY and a LITTLE SWEET. It’s pure heaven on a hot summer day!

Grapefruit Matcha Spritzer
Ingredients
- ¼ cup hot water
- ½ - ¾ tsp good quality matcha powder - depending on how strong you like it
- ½ cup grapefruit juice – I used yellow, but you can use red grapefruit juice instead.
- 1 tsp coconut nectar or maple syrup
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- ½ cup (or more) sparkling water
Instructions
- Pour hot water into a big glass.
- Add matcha powder and use a handheld milk frother (or a whisk) to mix.
- Add grapefruit juice and coconut nectar/maple syrup. Whisk to combine.
- Lightly crush a sprig of rosemary with a rolling pin, crushing it will release the aromatic oils.
- Add ice and the crushed rosemary sprig to the glass with the grapefruit-matcha mixture.
- Finish the drink with sparkling water.
- Enjoy this refreshing drink!
