Watermelon Nice Cream

Fruity, creamy, refreshing and incredibly delicious Watermelon Nice Cream. All you need is a food processor, 3 ingredients and 5 minutes.

This is one of my favorite summer treats. I wait all winter long for sweet, juicy watermelons to be in season and then I eat them non-stop during the summer months. Usually on their own, but I’ve been making this Watermelon Nice Cream lately and I have to say, I’m obsessed.

But no worries, it’s the healthiest ice cream you’ll ever make. No added sugar, no cream, no milk, no unhealthy fats. It’s 100% fruit, and it’s super creamy and crazy delicious. It looks, and tastes, and feels like real ice cream. But it’s way nicer to you, so it’s nice cream.

This recipe is super simple, you just need to cut and freeze the fruit the night before. Better yet, cut some extra fruit and keep it stored in the freezer, so you can make this healthy vegan treat whenever you feel like it. And I promise, you are going to be making this one on repeat.

Got kids? They are going to love this healthy ice cream version! It can be a great dessert or a nourishing snack, it’s packed with fiber, vitamins and minerals. And it’s the perfect treat for those warm summer days.

  • 2 small/medium bananas, sliced*
  • 1 ½ cups chopped watermelon, seeds removed*
  • Juice of 1 orange

Instructions

  • Place bananas and watermelon in an airtight container in the freezer for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Once frozen, add bananas, watermelon and orange juice to a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. You will need to stop a few times to scrape down the sides. But eventually magic happens and it gets thick and creamy and delicious.
